My tractor steering cylinder blew a seal. Actually a bunch of seals. It made quite a mess to clean up! It's not a pretty sight! Lol. This is the steering cylinder that we are working on. I struggle a bit at first getting the cylinder off and disassembled. Then I tear it down and get new seals at my local hydraulic shop. The barrel had a little rust in it, but it cleans up with some WD40 and scotch brite. The ball joint boots have long since degraded and need replacing, but they aren't available for sale. You have to buy the whole tie rod assembly which costs big money, so I print some custom made boots on my 3D printer with TPU, which actually works quite well. I reassemble everything and then put it back to work for my DEMANDING CUSTOMERS...the cows.
