Previous record was about 1100 watts. Now let's see how much power this system can really put out. I print the 700 GPM version of the Santa turbine, and then vapor smooth it with acetone. I install it into the generator wye, set it up on the hydro pipes and fire up the dyno to gather some data. I also experiment with various ways of purging air from the system. I establish one thing quite clearly. This turbine produces too much power for my bicycle brake dyno! I'm not sure what the exact power peak was, but I think reasonably 1400-1500 watts. The peak recorded in all the tests was 1574, but that was very briefly only, so I don't think it can sustain that. We look at the data and discover that the water efficiency is far less with this turbine.
