Currently Playing: The Story of Queen Atziri | Path Of Exile 2 Lore

Queen Atziri, the last Queen of the Vaal, is the pinnacle boss of Atziri's Temple in Path Of Exile 2. For years she was a signature at the bottom of item descriptions. Now she has a hundred and sixty-six voiced lines, a Royal Architect who died for her, and a name for the Beast that nobody else uses. This is the full story and lore of Atziri in Path Of Exile 2. Everyone in Act 3 says Atziri wanted eternal life. Alva says it at the Ziggurat, the statue in Aggorat promises it, and Doryani calls the end of the world her Ascension. Then you walk through Doryani's gateway into the day the Vaal died, and Atziri tells Doryani that she believed he adored her, tells him the Beast adores her too, and in the Cradle, with the Beast beside her, says what she actually wanted: not to be questioned, but to be adored, to be desired. Immortality was the method. Adoration was the want. Covered here: what Act 3 of Path Of Exile 2 says about the last Queen of the Vaal, Lira Vaal and the court Xipocado rebuilt for her, the glyph in her chamber that calls uncertainty the source of her power, why Doryani says the Beast cannot love anyone, the Red Communion and Atziri's death in her own words, Uromoti's confession on Mount Kriar, the Vaal who never left and still call her Queen, the whispers behind the mirror portal, and why the Trialmaster says there is no world where Atziri did not lead her people to ruin. ⚠ Full spoilers for Path Of Exile 2 through Act 3, Interlude 3 and Atziri's Temple. ⚠ Path Of Exile 2 is in early access.
