On Nov. 30, 1945. Col. John Amen, assistant American Prosecutor, called the Tribunal's first witness, Major Gen. Erwin Lahousen, a former German military intelligence officer and one of the survivors of a small group of plotters who tried to assassinate Hitler in July 1944. In German, he spoke about Nazi plans and procedures and described efforts to exterminate entire categories of people. This is the Morning Session.
