I wanna start this off by saying I was only booked for 5 shows this month. Most of the editing work I did was at mics, which of course has an impact. I noticed that as I get bored by a bit I lose steam in the delivery, hence the first and last bit not being my best. also it sometimes takes me a while to gage the pacing by the audience. I’m trying to decipher the underlying nature of delivery to get it as good as possible, as quickly as possible, for new material. I have a few insights but obv I’m keeping it close to my chest. I’m so grateful to have had phenomenal feedback for my climate change bit. That one was tough to power through bc (as someone so graciously heckled) it is a violating joke. Imagine how I felt saying it all month lmao... Regardless, the feedback from other comics helped me rearrange some of the jokes and add on details to get it as smooth as possible. Is this set perfect? No. Is it great considering the constraints I put myself under? Yes. Was it one of the better sets of the night according to audience? Also yes. So please take that all into consideration when you assess this one. I’m excited for December! I’m thinking about talking about beauty standards. Would love your thought in the comments section
