Merbridge, as one of the earliest projects to use eBPF to replace iptables to accelerate the implementation of the service mesh, has been closely following the Istio community and has adapted to the Ambient mode at the first time, which can solve the aforementioned problems relatively well. At the same time, thanks to Merbridge joining CNCF, Merbridge now also supports mainstream service mesh products like Kuma, OSM, and Linkerd2.
