In April 1908, La Porte, Indiana Police investigated a fire that had burned Norwegian Immigrant, Belle Gunness' farmhouse to the ground. In the ruins, police discovered 3 deceased children, as well as a headless adult woman, initally believed to Belle Gunness herself. After further investigation, police would discover an additional 11 bodies buried on the Gunness farm, and would come to learn that Belle Gunness was not the respectable, successful widow and mother they thought she was, but rather, a monster. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information Sources: Was She The Missing Murderess? https://cynthiaboatrightraleigh.substack.com/p/was-she-the-missing-murderess?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web Hell's Belle https://www.psychologytoday.com/za/blog/shadow-boxing/201804/hells-belle Belle Gunness https://www.indystar.com/story/news/history/retroindy/2017/11/10/female-indiana-serial-killer-comely-belle-gunness-loved-her-suitors-death/848023001/ Belle Gunness https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Gunness ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Video Credits: Downtown LaPorte (Chris Thomas) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAQN3qDoeSs downtown la porte circle (Chris Thomas) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6rAjXThfDA Drone Video Pine Lake in LaPorte, IN (Dan Howard) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28PbZ4uPvdg Los Angeles Stock Footage | Trip To USA (Free HD Videos - no copyright) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZfvjGHeass ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #unsolvedmysteries #truecrimestories #coldcases
