Amanda Macdonald is the Director of Business Development at Economic Development Winnipeg (EDW). She leads a team of professionals who support the growth of local businesses, drive investment and job creation in Winnipeg, and facilitate the development of key economic sectors including technology, agribusiness, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and aerospace. Prior to joining EDW, she worked in various leadership and marketing roles at Manitoba Hydro and Manitoba Hydro International (MHI). Over a period of 7 years at MHI, Amanda led a team of project managers and business development professionals working on international consulting projects. In addition, she was responsible for marketing MHI’s services to global audiences including regions such as South America, the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Amanda Macdonald holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree with majors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
