Day one of building our 8x8 overland truck didn’t go as planned… We finally begin building our 8x8 overland truck — and on day one, things don’t go to plan. After the truck is delivered, we start stripping, measuring, and planning the first stages of turning this massive 8x8 into a fully off-grid overland camper built for long-term travel. But during the very first proper work session, an angle grinder slips and causes a serious scare that stops the build in its tracks. This episode marks Episode 1 of our full 8x8 overland truck build series, where we document the entire process from delivery to a finished, self-sufficient expedition vehicle — built to travel off-grid and, ultimately, around the world.
