THE FINAL PUSH IS ON… BUT NOTHING IS EVER THAT SIMPLE After weeks away from YouTube, we’re back — and we’re now SO close to finishing our 8x8 expedition truck. In this episode, the pressure is well and truly on as we work through a huge list of final jobs, trying to get everything finished and ready for the last stages of this incredible build. But the main challenge this week is a big one… the huge pull-out decking system. What should have been another job to tick off the list quickly turns into a much bigger headache than expected. The original plan doesn’t work, the next idea brings its own problems, and before long we find ourselves working our way through Plan A, B, C… and eventually Plan D! It’s one of those jobs that perfectly sums up this entire custom 8x8 build — designing, fabricating, problem-solving and adapting when things don’t quite work the way they did in our heads. Alongside the decking, there are plenty of other jobs happening around the truck as we frantically work through the remaining list and get closer and closer to finally calling this build COMPLETE. After everything that has gone into this truck, we really are approaching the end of an enormous chapter. But there’s still work to do… And this episode finishes with a cliffhanger as we head into what should be the FINAL day of finishing the 8x8 expedition truck. Next week, will the decking finally work? And can we actually finish this truck once and for all?
