Ever finish the eyes and realize the whole face is off, and you have no idea where it went wrong? It almost always goes wrong in the first minute, at the circle. In this one I draw her from a blank page using the Loomis method, and you'll see how a loose, slightly wobbly circle plus two curved lines sets up everything else: the side plane, the three equal spaces from hairline to chin, the jaw, the ear, and then the nose, lips, hair and eyes in the order I actually drew them. Stick around for the shading at the end, that's where she comes to life. If you want me to walk you through every head angle and every face, the full Loomis course and the portrait bundle are here: https://onepencildrawing.com/courses 0:00 The circle 1:41 The side plane 2:51 The jaw 3:53 Placing the features 4:15 Nose and lips 5:16 Hair 5:48 Eyes 6:21 Shading 6:47 The reveal Tell me in the comments which feature gives you the hardest time and I'll make that the next video.
