#QuakeII #Braveheart #PacManWorld Originally aired: Fall 1999 This episode of The Electric Playground starts off in San Jose, California, as Zoe Flower infiltrates Infogrames HQ to talk with producer Matt Powers and game designer Jeff Gregg about the giant robot game, Slave Zero. Then we head to E3 in Los Angeles where Victor Lucas interviews Gil Colgate, the lead programmer and Hardy LeBel, the level designer of Namco’s Pac-Man World. Afterwards Zoe is at Activision in Los Angeles, California, to speak with Marty Stratton, the producer of Quake II for the Nintendo 64. And Then, also at Activision, Tommy Tallarico interviews Jamie Bafus, associate producer of A Bug’s Life for the Nintendo 64. Following that, it’s time for our epic journey to Eidos in San Francisco, California, to find out about Braveheart. Tommy chats with Eric Adams, the associate producer on the game and then proceeds to slaughter almost the entire staff of the company. Good times. Next up Tommy’s at Heat HQ in San Francisco to chat with Matt Calloway and find out about Heat CIGL. Back in Vancouver, BC, Zoe has a conversation with author, Marc Saltzman who has written a book called, “Game Design: Secrets of the Sages” After the break, Howard Scott Warshaw talks to EP’s Roger Earl about the creation of ET for the Atari 2600, from our interview with him at the Classic Gaming Expo 1999 in Las Vegas.
