#DeusEx #SpyroTheDragon #Nintendo64 Original airdate: Spring 2000 This week’s EP — the last episode of season 4! — has us hitting the road for a lot of incredible interviews and studio visits! We start with a chat between Victor Lucas and Nintendo’s Bryan Hartmann at E3 2000, as they dig into the features of Mickey’s Speedway USA for the Nintendo 64. Then Tommy Tallarico connects with actor, Bree Turner in Los Angeles, California to talk about her love of games and the roles she’s been in. After the break Victor is at the GOD Games booth at E3 2000 in Los Angeles and he meets the one and only Julie Strain (rest in peace) to talk about her role in Heavy Metal FAKK 2. And from Toy Fair in New York City, we also hear from Julie’s husband and the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the creator of Heavy Metal FAKK 2, Kevin Eastman. Then Victor lists Insomniac Games in Los Angeles for a tour of the development of Spyro The Dragon 3. He chats with: Caroline Trujillo - Game Designer Chad Dezern - Artist Alexander Shaefer - Artist Ryan Denniston - Animator Matthew Whiting - Rocket Scientist Ted Price - CEO Then Victor is at E3 2000 for a chat with Deus Ex game designer, Harvey Smith, who helped to create one of the most revolutionary games of all time. After that things get messy as Tommy connects with Gregory Eckluna at Heavy Iron Studios and the lead animation director tries to tell us about Evil Dead 2. Tommy also chats with game designer, Matt Coohill, and producer, Matt Morris. No one is spared. Immediately following we head back to E3 and meet up with Electronic Arts’ Albert Penello who fills us in on the James Bond games headed our way, including: 007 Racing, The World is Not Enough for PlayStation and Nintendo 64. What’s in EP’s Pocket? Donkey Kong Country for the Game Boy Color. In Reviews on the Run it’s: Super Magnetic Neo for SEGA Dreamcast Covert Ops for PlayStation Army Men for Nintendo 64 Ground Control for PC The Electric Playground episodes are digitized and upscaled by the University of Toronto Mississauga Library.
