Currently Playing: The Alien Origins of Alabaster and Onyx Lords | Elden ring lore

#eldenring #loretosleepto Somewhere beneath the surface of the Lands Between, in pitch-black caves that have never seen the sky, there are motionless, stone-skinned figures who fell from the heavens long before anyone thought to give them a name. I'm talking about the Alabaster and Onyx Lords, or the "Slender Wayfarers," as so many of us in the community have taken to calling them. These beings are genuinely rare, but when you track them down across the underground map, you realize they represent one of the most foundational pillars of cosmic lore in Elden Ring: they are the primordial founders of Gravity Magic, jolted into life when ancient meteors struck this world eons ago. When you study their physical models closely, the visual storytelling is incredible. They stand tall and completely unclothed, wearing only a single belt engraved with cryptic astronomical runes, sporting elven-like alien ears and glowing crack-like markings across their stone torsos. But what truly fascinates me is the inverted polarity built into their weapons. The blue-hued Alabaster Lords wield straight swords forged from meteor material designed to pull enemies into their gravity well, while the gold-skinned Onyx Lords wield curved blades that unleash pure kinetic repulsion. You can see their cultural impact on groups like the Star Chasers on the Weeping Peninsula, who literally kneel and pray before pulsating orbs of dark matter as new Lords gestate inside impact craters. This cosmic link directly connects back to General Radahn’s legendary past. We know for a fact that Radahn didn't just stumble into his star-shattering power; he learned Gravity Magic directly from an Alabaster Lord, proving these ancient space-travelers are fully sentient, capable of speech, and once acted as respected instructors at Raya Lucaria and in the town of Sellia. From their dark matter affinities shared with cocooned Fallingstar Beasts and Astel leveling the Eternal Cities, to the mysterious Onyx Lord imprisoned in the Evergaol behind Volcano Manor, these meteor men are a living testament to the alien forces that shaped this world. They are a quiet, beautiful reminder that some mysteries were never meant to be fully mapped, only stood beside in silence, knowing something fell from the stars long before our journey began.
