A new single by Moloth has been recorded outside of the band’s album plans and presents an icy canvas dedicated to the Nordic faith of the North - the inevitability of Ragnarök and the coming of the ship of the dead, Naglfar. The lyrics were written back in 2009, when the band’s leader was imprisoned. The Norns’ Art of Destiny - in the shadow of Naglfar the time of blackened dreams draws near. A scoundrel’s deed, a coward’s pain of doubt drive the herd down into Hel’s underworld. The whip sings out above their bowed-down heads, reminding them of the vileness of the slave’s lot. You seek a master? A stronger hand to cling to? You will await your “god” six feet beneath the ground. Kneel, carrion - do not wait for freedom. Do not hope to surface in Niflheim’s waters. No pack of “righteous” wretches will help you - the Gods do not hear prayers, only deeds. Where Jötnar raise their walls - there lies the shadow of Naglfar. A world unknown to you, within the Tree of Limits. The Ship of the Dead - the vessel of our Truth, the faith of the ancient Æsir exacts its blood-bound due. //02-04.01.09 The best way to support us is to purchase the digital release as a donation - https://heretic.camp/product/m8l8th-shadows-of-naglfar-single-2025/ Official merch Militant.Zone and Heretic.Camp
