Namaskar Doston, Prime numbers have fascinated mathematicians for centuries. They look simple, yet they hide some of the deepest mysteries in mathematics. Even today, many important questions about prime numbers remain unanswered, and some of the world's greatest mathematicians have spent years trying to solve them. In this lecture, I introduce this fascinating topic from the very beginning. We will learn what a prime number is, that 2 is the smallest prime number and the only even prime number, and that there is no single formula* that generates all prime numbers. Yet, prime numbers often appear in remarkable patterns that make them one of the most beautiful subjects in mathematics. The most exciting part is that, using only these basic ideas, we will try to solve several challenging problems.
