Currently Playing: The hidden conservation law of gravity

The LRL vector seems like a mystery - it's straightforward to show that it is conserved in gravity, but how did one come up with it in the first place? Here is a derivation first documented in 2008 using Bohlin transformation / Arnold-Vasiliev duality and complex numbers, and uses the "complex" analogue of energy in harmonic oscillators to deduce the LRL vector in gravity. This channel is meant to showcase interesting but underrated maths (and physics) topics and approaches, either with completely novel topics, or a well-known topic with a novel approach. If the novel approach resonates better with you, great! But the videos have never meant to be pedagogical - in fact, please please PLEASE do NOT use YouTube videos to learn a subject.
