This was the second air disaster to strike the island in just three years, revealing severe infrastructural and technological shortcomings which had plagued the island for decades. These days, the Dan Air crash is overshadowed by the collision of two 747s on the runway of that same airport, which remains to this day the biggest air disaster in history. This video investigates the lesser-known Tenerife collision of that period, using the Final Report and other publicly-available sources. All music is licensed through Epidemic sound.
