Before testing it, there was something extremely important we had to consider. Julius recently received several skill fixes, and some of them help explain why older battles could show Satori devastating entire Julius teams. 🛠️ JULIUS SKILL FIXES Several Julius interactions were corrected: 🔹 Faceless copying Julius’s first skill now interacts correctly with Julius’s Shield. 🔹 Effects triggered when Shields were destroyed no longer incorrectly affect targets such as Corvus’s altar or Elmir’s clones. 🔹 Julius’s blue skill now correctly removes negative effects even when the enemy who originally applied them has already been defeated. 🔹 A rare issue where Shields from his green skill could remain after their capacity reached zero was also fixed. These fixes matter when evaluating Julius today because we are now seeing his cleansing mechanics operate as intended. 🦊 SATORI VS JULIUS Without Julius, the interaction is brutal. Satori applies his marks, prepares his attack, activates his ultimate — and the team can be devastated. Then we add Julius. Satori still applies his marks. We can still visually see them on the Heroes. But just like we discovered during our Julius vs Iris testing, what remains visually on screen doesn't necessarily tell the entire story. Julius’s cleansing constantly interferes with Satori’s ability to maintain those negative effects until the moment his damage arrives. And there is one massive detail: Julius doesn’t even need his new Relics for this fundamental interaction. 🛡️ WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE RELICS? The Relics make Julius even stronger by creating additional defensive and cleansing opportunities throughout the battle. But this matchup is different from Iris. Iris can still exploit dangerous windows between Julius’s cleansing opportunities and deliver extremely fast DoT pressure. Satori relies heavily on maintaining his marks before his attack arrives — exactly the type of mechanic Julius’s cleansing can disrupt. Satori can still find occasional windows, and different team compositions can change the battle. But based on our testing, Satori does not look like a reliable answer to Julius teams when Julius’s cleansing is functioning correctly. This doesn't mean Satori is a bad Hero.
