Eva can deal absolutely ridiculous damage. Her positioning, distance bonuses and powerful attacks can make her terrifying when she's allowed to operate freely. But no hero in Hero Wars: Alliance is invincible. And Eva is no exception. After testing her mechanics, we found several ways to attack the things Eva depends on most: distance, Back Line positioning, survivability and the time she needs to aim. 🪝 CLEAVER — DESTROY HER POSITIONING Eva wants distance. Cleaver's Rusty Hook targets the farthest enemy and pulls them toward him. If Eva is the target, Cleaver can drag her from the Back Line directly toward the frontline, reducing her distance advantage and putting her in a much more dangerous position. ☠️ JORGEN — TURN HER POSITION AGAINST HER Leper makes the farthest enemy the curse target and redirects Physical Damage taken by their teammates toward that target. If Eva is the farthest hero, the position she normally wants can suddenly become a major weakness. ⚰️ CORVUS — PUNISH HER DAMAGE While Altar of Souls is active, enemies who damage Corvus's allies can be punished by the Altar. Eva wants to deal enormous amounts of damage. Corvus can make her pay for doing exactly that. 🔥 KAYLA — TAKE THE FIGHT TO EVA Kayla doesn't need Eva to leave the Back Line. She can jump directly into the enemy formation. With Inner Flame dealing repeated Pure Damage around her, Eva can suddenly find danger arriving directly in the area where she normally wants to remain protected. 💥 PURE DAMAGE Pure Damage is another direction worth exploring against Eva compositions. Heroes such as Lian, Maya, Cleaver, Kendle and Kayla have the potential to pressure Eva and exploit one of the biggest weaknesses we've discovered during testing: Keeping Eva alive. ⚡ CONTROL & STUN — INTERRUPT THE AIM Impossible Shot requires Eva to aim for 3 seconds. That creates an opportunity for correctly timed Control and Stuns to interfere with one of her most dangerous attacks. But there's a catch... 🛡️ ANTIVIRUS CHANGES EVERYTHING Eva's Legendary Relic can directly complicate Control-based counters. Every 8 seconds, Antivirus removes Control effects from Eva and prevents new Control effects for 5 seconds. So simply saying "stun Eva" isn't enough. Timing matters. 🎯 THE REAL KEY TO COUNTERING EVA Don't search for one magical hero who automatically defeats her. Understand what Eva needs and attack those conditions. Take away her distance. Exploit her Back Line position. Pressure her survivability. Punish her damage. Interrupt her aiming. And understand when Antivirus is protecting her. Eva is extremely powerful.
