Context:Bodycam footage from Hamtramck, Michigan, shows a traffic stop that escalated from a dispute over a lawful order to exit the vehicle into a high-speed police pursuit and a fatal multi-vehicle crash. According to the transcript, officers stopped a Chevrolet Trailblazer after an alleged red-light violation and registration problem. The driver reportedly had no valid license, refused repeated commands to step out, demanded a supervisor, invoked PTSD, and remained inside even after officers warned that they would break the window. After officers attempted to remove her, the driver fled northbound on Conant at reported speeds of approximately 60 mph. The pursuit ended near Conant and East McNichols, where she allegedly disregarded a traffic signal and crashed into another vehicle. Two occupants of that vehicle were killed, several other people were injured, and local reporting states that a pregnant passenger in the fleeing vehicle later lost her unborn child.
