Welcome to my channel Fade To Black! WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO ROBERT ENGLUND? You know the striped jumper, the battered hat and that razor-fingered glove. But how much do you know about the man behind Freddy Krueger? Robert Englund created one of cinema’s most recognisable monsters—but his story stretches far beyond Elm Street. From his early years in theatre and his work alongside Jeff Bridges and Arnold Schwarzenegger to his breakthrough as Willie in V, this is the story of an actor whose most famous character became bigger than his own name. We explore Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, Englund’s move into directing with 976-EVIL, the inventive New Nightmare, his appearance as Victor Creel in Stranger Things, and the connection with horror fans that has helped sustain his extraordinary career. When the puppet becomes more famous than the puppeteer, what happens to the man pulling the strings? ☕ SUPPORT FADE TO BLACK WITH BUY ME A COFFEE: https://buymeacoffee.com/fadetoblack If you enjoy these videos, Buy Me a Coffee is the easiest way to support my work directly.
