Currently Playing: Principle of Least Action | Why THIS Path? (Lagrangian Mechanics) - Randomness Test

The Principle of Least Action is one of the foundational Laws of Physics. For eg. out of the infinite paths a thrown ball could take, why does it always trace exactly one? I put the Principle of Least Action to the test — using nothing but randomness. 𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬QM Lecture Series Playlist𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬 https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRN3HroZGu2mCtdalEmZAM2nr1xBWAtUn&si=8ejaL8RrSFQGbtzx 𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬ELEVATE CLASSES𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬 Elevate your preparation with Elevate Classes. The Principle of Least Action is the reason why. In this video I test it computationally: starting from a completely random path and using a Monte Carlo approach — random nudges, kept only when they lower the "action," with no laws of motion or forces written into the code. After thousands of iterations, that random line settles into the exact parabolic path of a thrown ball, and then into a planetary orbit. It's a simple and surprisingly beautiful demonstration that one of nature's deepest principles can emerge from nothing but randomness and a single rule. 00:00 Introduction 04:21 Comparing Action Values 08:55 Monte Carlo Simulation Google Drive Files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12ETxDDajkkMYtXYHQia9msfZND64XWJo?usp=sharing 𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬TELEGRAM𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬 Join my Telegram Channel ► https://t.me/FortheLoveofPhysicsYT 𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬SUPPORT CHANNEL𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬𓏬 Your Financial support provides me an additional incentive to create high quality lecture videos.
