What is Quantum Mechanics? What are it's most fundamental ideas, and how is it different from Classical mechanics? In this short video, I try to briefly give an explanation of the basic ideas of Quantum mechanics, and its features like - definite energy levels, position probability densities etc. I also talk about the concept of wavefunction superposition and the measurement problem. We can see that the quantum theory offers us a very probabilistic idea about large number of quantum systems, but can never predict the position or energy of a individual system.
