Hero Wars has revealed the full details for the upcoming Astrid and Lucas Ascension Season, including major base skill improvements, two new Ascension Skills, a reworked Hunter’s Mark mechanic, and some potentially huge interactions with Adam and War Flag of Steel Storm. For me, this update is also personal. Astrid and Lucas were among the first five heroes I developed back in 2019. They weren’t meta. I simply didn’t know what I was doing yet! 😅 Years later, they’re still maxed on my account, and now they may finally have a reason to return to serious teams. 🔥 WHAT THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT We break down every announced Astrid and Lucas change and, more importantly, what those changes could actually mean in battle. Lucas is receiving stronger attacks during Rage form, and those attacks become AoE, allowing him to damage multiple enemies simultaneously. That immediately creates an interesting possibility with War Flag of Steel Storm. We already know Steel Storm rewards attacks that deal physical damage across multiple targets. Lucas couldn’t properly take advantage of that before. After this update, he potentially can. ⚔️ Rampant Nature is also changing. Instead of its huge attack and skill speed bonus effectively shifting between Astrid and Lucas, both can benefit simultaneously when Lucas enters Rage form. But the biggest connection may be Hunter’s Mark. 💡 KEY TAKEAWAYS • 🐾 Lucas becomes an AoE attacker. His Rage attacks hit harder, strike multiple enemies, and can stun enemies affected by Hunter’s Mark. • ⚡ Rampant Nature improves. Astrid and Lucas can benefit from its powerful speed increase together. • 🎯 Hunter’s Mark becomes much harder to counter. It will no longer count as a negative effect, meaning effects such as Sebastian’s protection won’t simply remove it. • 🔫 Astrid and Adam now share the same Hunter’s Mark. This could dramatically accelerate Adam’s Fan the Hammer mechanics. • 💥 More marked enemies means more ricochets. At maximum development, attacks from other Hunters against marked enemies generate even more Rage. ⚔️ WHY THIS MATTERS This isn’t simply a numbers buff. Hero Wars appears to be building an actual Hunter team ecosystem. Astrid and Lucas can spread Hunter’s Mark while Adam takes advantage of those marks through Fan the Hammer. Adam then attacks multiple marked enemies, helping Astrid generate Rage through The Thrill of the Hunt. More Rage means more Lucas. More Lucas means more AoE damage, Hunter’s Mark interactions, and potentially more War Flag of Steel Storm triggers. Meanwhile, Hardened Temper addresses one of the biggest problems with this concept: survivability. That combination could turn Astrid and Lucas from an overlooked veteran hero into an important part of a completely new Hero Wars team archetype. We still need actual battlefield testing before declaring this team meta. The final numbers for damage resistance, Rage generation, Lucas’s damage, and the new Ascension Skills will matter enormously.
