Currently Playing: The Outstanding Design of Mir: A Different Perspective on the Quintessential Space Station

There are plenty of videos that start explaining the chaotic mess that was Mir in its later years. I wanted to change that narrative a little since Mir was arguably the greatest thing the Soviets, and subsequently Russians launched into space. Much like Mir though, the topics discussed in this video become more chaotic over time. Though I did use Artem's amazing model of Earth. I modified a few open license 3D models for use in the animations, credit to: "Mir Station with Soyuz and Progress docked" (https://skfb.ly/SqGr) by tashtego is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
