The Grand Canyon of Oman, also known as Wadi Ghul or the Grand Canyon of Arabia, is a breathtaking gorge carved deep into the rugged Hajar Mountains beneath Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak. This dramatic canyon plunges nearly 1,000 meters, revealing sheer cliffs and stunning panoramic views. The iconic Balcony Walk trail winds along the rim, leading hikers past an abandoned stone village and an ancient cave, and offering sweeping vistas over the vast canyon below.
