Kingston, Ontario - January 31st, 2026 A bitterly cold week has not significantly affected work on the dock. Kehoe Marine and BGM Metalworks have both made important contributions. The temporary dolphin on the south finger can now be safely accessed by MTO crews who need to fasten mooring lines. Steel structures intended to make the secondary dock accessible to smaller ferries like the Frontenac II, and first seen in December, have returned for test fits and assessment. There's every indication that the electrical issue that affected the Wolfe Islander IV is no longer a problem. She may return to service in the near future now that she has demonstrated capability and the secondary dock is now more suitable for full-time operation.
