Kingston, Ontario May 15th, 2026 Firefighters from Kingston Fire & Rescue Service conduct training in Technical Rescue from height using a tower crane as an easily accessible platform. It's important work - on December 13th, 2013 a crane operator had to be rescued by helicopter after the building below him caught fire, trapping him aloft. This exercise was made possible by Homestead, who own and control the site involved, Bellai Alliance, the prime contractor and crane owners and StartSafe the company monitoring and advising on safety.
