Hi Everyone! This is a step by step instructional video of how to clean a slippery driveway. Or at least how I normally do it. This driveway wasn't heavy with moss but definetly had a layer of slippery slime on it and when wet was dangerouse for this home owner. First step was to rinse off the loose debris. This way my surface cleaner won't have extra debris to move around. Second step on this project was a pre treatment. Because the moss wasn't super thick a pre treatment can start loosening up the dirt and debris to make the cleaning go a little faster. 3rd step is hooking up the surface cleaner and really start the clean. I always start at the lowest area of the driveway when using my surface cleaner. The reason is simple. If I start at the highest part, as I'm loosening up the moss and dirt I'm having to push that debris down. The more I remove the more debris I have to work through. By the time I get half way down the driveway I would have a bunch of loose debris I'm pushing through. Start at the bottom I'm only pushing through the debris I just loosened. Hope that makes sense. 4th step, rinse down all the loose debris. 5th step, apply a post treatment. I mix 2 gallons of liquid chlorine in a 5 gallon bucket along with about 3 tablespoons of dawn de greasing soap. Let sit for 10-20 minutes. Final step, rinse of area including plants that may have gotten sprayed. The results speak for themselves!
