The concept for this one was made back in 2012 for the cartoon series. This is why I wanted to share special thanks to Sandman for helping with the original concept, and drawing up the initial Red Deuu for that version. The idea was nearly referenced in the era of 2014-2016, with Red Deuu appearing in the background of other unreleased episodes. But it was clear this concept was never going to be possible in a Halo engine. The vending machine dropping, along with jumping to grab the helicopter, and various sequences of wile e coyote inspiration, were beyond what the original tools could offer. In 2021, I began going through the old notes, and this is one I have always wanted to make. With today's tools, it was now possible. So not only is this the oldest concept to be created (from notes in 2012, to release in 2022), but it is also the most extensive time I have taken on a single Gmod production (6 months). I kept reaching a point where I thought I was done... then I kept editing, and changing things, improving the pace, fixing the VFX and sound effects. We almost had a vaporwave flagpole sitta music interlude in the montage, but I fear today's Youtube algorithm would have frowned on it's use in the video. The ending scene was nearly cut, as I wasn't sure if this would release prior to "Richard's Dad"...I didn't want to spoil the surprise of that character. This also marks the first episode with "Richard's Mom". In the end, this is one of the most satisfying episode's I have ever made in my own opinion. It's got everything I wanted from the idea, it's filmed and framed in a similar style to the classic series in some parts, and it's got Rush references (The Body Electric, 1 0 0 1). Red Deuu has appeared in other video's already (B& 2021 and The Award Show), so we will see him in the future with similar easter eggs. Special thanks to The Real King Ghidorah (Notredame) for recommending the frog screams for Red Deuu almost a decade ago. It is without a doubt the funniest aspect of seeing this character try, try, try... only to fail, fail, fail. RIP Animation Legend Chuck Jones, a big inspiration behind the essence of this episode.
