In Part 1 of this two-part Open Mat, we’re helping Fernando prepare for his BJJ tournament this weekend. Fernando is a young, athletic white belt, former running back, and active competitor who’s putting in some final rounds before competition day. I roll with Fernando and offer some last-minute technical advice and adjustments along the way.
