OBR 5.05(b)(1) states that if a baserunner thinks there is a play and slides past the base, they may be put out on a tag. OBR 5.09(b)(6) states that the force is removed as soon as the runner touches the base and the runner must be tagged out at that point. Sliding past a base and touching-then-oversliding a base are two different standards because of MLB's newly added definition/diagram for what passing a base actually looks like (it was an MLB Umpire Manual interpretation for years prior to making it into the rulebook). Ultimately, the overslide standard wins the day and that's why Replay Review calls PCR out.
