OPEN ME!: Being single on Valentine's Day has never felt fun. And being single, in my 40s, on Valentine's Day feels like it should be extra not fun. But this year I took a different approach. I decided to see beyond the commercialism and societal pressures to feel bad if I'm not in a romantic relationship and to reclaim Valentine's Day as a day to treat myself the way I deserve to be treated, and maybe spoil myself just a little, with all the things I love.
