I uploaded "Motion" back when it released originally, but the video quality wasn't very good and I hardly wrote any reviews then. Recently, I started a playlist called Geometry Dash Favorites, in which I'm putting the levels both my viewers and I find best from my uploads. I saw a few people mention "Motion" should be in it, and I definitely agree; it's probably one of my favorite 2.0 Demons. As a result, I figured it'd be worth reuploading this in better quality and with a review to put in the playlist. You can find it here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL23DfYViEz2Sr890EciPDz3nTorQgar7t TamaN already had a number of Featured levels before this was released, but I wasn't the biggest fan personally. Some of the levels were a bit too empty, and they were quite easy for the most part. When this came out, though, I became a fan almost immediately. The gameplay is among the best I saw at the time. These 2.0 days had most levels use Move triggers in very weird ways, which lead to frustrating gameplay. In "Motion", they're mostly used for visuals, but there are a few iconic parts that use them for gameplay too. The difference here is that the movement is more predictable because of indicators (0:15) or just from looping (0:34). It's also fast-paced with a lot of verticality, and despite these things, it's very sightreadable. This makes it a very fun experience to beat in my opinion. The gameplay being so clear is much thanks to TamaN's simple design style and color usage, which result in the blocks and obstacles being highlighted. There are some parts that feature extra detail in the blocks, such as at 0:23 and 0:31, but this also highlights what you interact with as a player. The decorations around the structures is what is kept most simple, which makes for as little distractions when playing as possible. It's mostly only arrows, and these help the experience. If I played this today, I'd probably say some parts could've used a bit more decoration and possibly some custom backgrounds, but this has still aged very well in my opinion. That's why I think this deserves that first spot as a 2.0 level in the playlist mentioned above. ★ Become a Member of my channel for special perks: https://www.youtube.com/vipringd/join - VIDEO INFORMATION - Game (version): Geometry Dash (2.0) Level: "Motion" by TamaN ID: 15619194 Song: "Pursuit" by BoomKitty http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/658059 - LINKS - Discord: https://discord.gg/viprin Twitter: https://twitter.com/vipringd Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/viprin Merchandise: https://viprin.creator-spring.com/ Thumbnail by Erdyuri: https://twitter.com/Erdyuri
