As 2025 draws to a close, Rescue Vet is celebrating an unforgettable year — and there’s no better way to mark the season than by heading somewhere truly special. With a new year on the horizon, Dr Scott visits Birmingham Dogs Home, where an incredible team of staff and volunteers are caring for over 160 dogs, each waiting for their second chance. This visit is especially close to Scott’s heart. As an ambassador for the rescue, he rolls up his sleeves at the on-site veterinary clinic, helping wherever he’s needed — from a dog needing an eye exam to being completely swarmed by a litter of adorable puppies getting ready for their microchips and first steps toward forever homes. Along the way, we’ll meet some unforgettable residents, including Stockton and Nellie, two beautiful souls hoping that this festive season brings them the one thing they want most: a family of their own. And behind every wagging tail is a devoted human. We’ll shine a light on the extraordinary staff and volunteers who go above and beyond every single day, taking you behind the scenes for a heartfelt tour of the centre and the people who make it a place of hope. 💛 BIRMINGHAM DOGS HOME💛 Thinking of adopting or want to help support Birmingham Dogs Home?
