This week on Rescue Vet... We meet Sammy - the rescue dog who's such a ray of sunshine for his new family; they now call him Sunny. To them, he's not just any dog; he's a lifeline. Originally fostered by Grace, a mum of two autistic children and an A&E emergency care specialist, Sunny has quietly become the family's anchor. Her ten-year-old son, who had never slept through the night, now sleeps soundly every single time, all because this sweet furball sleeps by his side like a guardian angel. But behind that sunny disposition is real pain. Sunny arrives at The Chobham Vet with significant hip dysplasia after a painful fracture. Dr. Scott performs a femoral head and neck excision procedure in the hope of giving him a real shot at a comfortable, active life. But recovery won't be easy... This is the reality of rescue: heartbreak, hope, and the incredible people (and pets) who refuse to give up on each other. 💬 COMMENT below — tell us about a pet who's helped you through hard times SUPPORT HELPING HOUNDS -------------------------------------- Helping Hounds supported Sammy's rescue and ongoing care.
