Five years he waited to stand up. Today his legs just... work. Diagnosed at twelve. Fully paralyzed by twenty. He spent the last five years of his life streaming horror games from a hospital bed, because it was the only thing his body still let him do. So when he wakes on a strange bed, kicks up a cloud of dust, and realizes he is standing — actually standing, on actual legs — he doesn't scream about being kidnapped. He looks down at his thin, working hands and thinks one word. Finally. Then he takes in the room. Narrow. Dark. Rotting. A desiccated skeleton slumped over the table, most of its skull gone, a rusty flintlock still in its hand. Any normal person would faint. He's played three hundred horror games. To him this is the tutorial area. A voice echoes in his skull, cheerful as a cruise director. Welcome to the All-People Sailing Survival Game. You will spend the rest of your lives at sea. All illnesses cured. Do whatever you want. Just one thing. Keep moving forward. Don't let the black fog behind you catch up. The black fog is currently moving at ten knots. Outside the window there's ocean in every direction, all the way to the edge of the world. On the bed there's a Navigation Log with seven rules in it. Rule seven is his personal favorite: you'll never feel alone at sea. In a horror game, that isn't a comfort. That's a threat. The whole planet got yanked out here at once. Billions of people, five hundred nautical miles apart, all screaming into one world chat. Somebody's got a steel warship with forty cannons doing five knots — five, while the fog does ten. Somebody else has the fastest hull on the water at seventy. Then he checks his own ship. Nightmare. Tier one. Sleeping aboard gives you nightmares and guts your energy recovery. The boat is cursed against catching normal fish. It has drifted at sea for hundreds of years and has finally found its new owner. So everyone else got a boat. He got a haunted house with sails, a suicide victim at the dining table, a curse on his sleep, a curse on his food, and an empty cargo hold — no food, no water, not even bugs. The system looked at a paralyzed horror streamer's life story and decided what he needed was more horror. Cool. Very cool. Love that for him. His first catch comes up a sardine. Normal, shiny, thumb-thick — with four long pale human-jointed legs, standing on his deck like it's about to ask for directions. What follows: a skeleton that turns out to be a crafting material, a scavenger city built in the bones of a dead generation's ark, laser turrets still firing after five thousand years, and a rusted security robot that takes one look at his companion's red eyes and logs five millennia of absence as a business trip — then classifies him, permanently, as an escaped experimental subject. Five years in a bed, learning a body is a cage. Five seas in a nightmare, learning it doesn't have to be his. The paralyzed kid the ocean dealt the haunted ship to is now the thing the monsters warn each other about — and the fog never did catch up. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⚔️ Watch to the end — the last line is the whole story. 🔔 Subscribe for daily manhwa & anime recaps. 💬 Would you take the fastest ship or the haunted one?
