Welcome to the Zone, Stalker. Installing Zona is much smoother than it used to be thanks to automated scripts, but you still need to follow the trail carefully. Here is your streamlined, step-by-step installation guide. 🛠️ *Pre-Installation & Requirements* Storage Space: Ensure you have at least 60GB of free space (*40GB for Zona + Stalker Anomaly*). Note: This is significantly lighter than similar modpacks that often reach *130GB.* Required Software: Download 7zip. It is free and mandatory for extracting these specific archives to avoid file corruption. The Shopping List: Head to the official Discord "install-zona-guide" channel to download: https://discord.com/channels/939072582894903306/1414532250384728074/1414533165782925395 Stalker Anomaly 1.5.3 Modded EXE files (for DLTX support) Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) — 7zip version The Zona Modpack itself 📂 *Phase 1: Directory Setup* Create a main folder named Stalker Zona. Inside that folder, create two sub-folders: Stalker Anomaly Mod Organizer 2 🎮 *Step 1: Initializing Anomaly* Extract: Open the Stalker Anomaly archive and drag everything into your new Stalker Anomaly folder. Configure: Run AnomalyLauncher.exe. Recommended: Enable Prefetch Sounds (improves FPS during combat). Optional: Enable Debug Mode for testing. First Run: Launch the game, reach the main menu to generate necessary files, and then quit. 🔧 *Step 2: Setting up Mod Organizer 2 (MO2)* Clear Cache: Delete the R4 Shader Cache created by the base game. (Zona uses custom graphics; old shaders will cause bugs). Install MO2: Drag all contents of the MO2 archive into your Mod Organizer 2 folder. Initialize MO2: Launch MO2 and select Portable Instance. Browse and select your Stalker Anomaly folder. Important: Turn OFF all extra Profile Settings when prompted. Paths: Ensure the "Mods" path is set directly to your MO2 folder. You should see new mods and profiles folders appear there. Final Prep: Set the executable in MO2 to DX11 avx, then close the program. ☢️ *Step 3: Installing Zona & DLTX* The Modpack: Open the Zona archive. Drag the mods and profiles folders into your Mod Organizer 2 folder. Select Yes to overwrite everything. Settings: Inside the Zona archive, find the gamedata and appdata folders. Move these into your Stalker Anomaly folder and overwrite. DLTX (Crucial): Drag the modded EXE files into your Stalker Anomaly folder and overwrite. This is required for the engine to handle the modded scripts. 🚀 *Launching the Game* Re-open Mod Organizer 2 and select your desired profile based on your hardware: SSS21: Optimized for weaker/mid-range PCs.
