This guide walks you through turning **Road to Vostok** into a hardcore, single-player extraction shooter experience reminiscent of *Escape from Tarkov*. By using the Metro Modloader and a specific suite of mods, we’re amping up the lethality, the loot, and the progression. --- ## 🛠️ Prerequisites Before we start, make sure you have **7-Zip** installed to handle the archives. 1. **Backup Your Saves:** Navigate to: `C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Road to Vostok Demo\` Copy your saves and settings to a safe folder just in case! --- ## 📂 Installation Steps ### 1. The Core Tools * **Metro Modloader UI:** This is your mod loader/mod organizer. * Open the archive and move **`modloader.gd`** into: `%AppData%\Roaming\Road to Vostok Demo\` * Locate your game in Steam (`Steamapps\common\Road to Vostok`). * Drop **`override.cfg`** into the main game folder. * **Create the Mods Folder:** Inside your main Steam game folder, create a new folder named **`Mods`**. * **MCM (Mod Configuration Menu):** Download this and move the file directly into your new `Mods` folder. **Do not extract it**—keep it as a `.zip` or `.vmz`. ### 2. Installing the "Tarkov" Mod Pack Simply download these and drop them (unextracted) into your **`Mods`** folder: 1. **Faction Warfare:** Adds soldiers and guards. This creates that "warzone" feel and allows you to crank up enemy density. 2. **Medical Durability:** Adjusts meds to have multiple uses.
