What happens when five different AI coding agents are given the same challenge: build a working task manager for a custom operating system running on an IBM XT? In this video, I compare how Haiku, Sonnet 5, Opus 5, Fable 5, and ChatGPT’s Sol 5.6 approach the exact same task. Each agent must work within the limitations of an 8088-class machine and create a retro task manager that fits naturally into my custom graphical operating system. The task manager needs to display: - CPU usage - RAM usage - Running processes - Process status - Per-process CPU utilization - A responsive interface suitable for an IBM XT Which AI agent builds the best IBM XT task manager—and which one creates more problems than it solves? Watch to the end to see the final results and my overall ranking.
