Iñiguez Trapezoid Spiral This is an animation of an intriguing spiral shape created by using many rotated copies of a special trapezoid related to the golden ratio recently named the Iñiguez Trapezoid in the fun, recent article by Daniel Eduardo Sáncheza, Andrea Cárcamo,Claudio Fuentealba, and Lilian Vargasin in Mathematics Magazine : https://doi.org/10.1080/0025570X.2025.2477435 The trapezoid has one side length of the golden ratio and the other given by the reciprocal of the golden ratio. The other two side lengths are 1 and root 2. It scales nicely onto itself to create an interesting shape when several rotated copies are used.
