Currently Playing: Namibia by Air • Remote Camping + Etosha

Our Africa flying adventure has reached its final chapter: We’re exploring Namibia by air, from remote desert camps and towering dunes to the Atlantic coast and the wildlife of Etosha National Park, before beginning the long journey home. First, we need fuel. A stop in Solitaire becomes an adventure of its own as we figure out how to get 400 liters of petrol from a roadside station into four airplanes. Along the way, we meet two guys who have never flown—and get the chance to show them their home from above. After one last night around the campfire, we say goodbye to our friends and continue through Namibia on our own. Our route takes us along the coast, past the Eduard Bohlen shipwreck, and into Swakopmund. Then we turn inland toward the private airstrip at Okutala and a full day exploring Etosha, where elephants, zebras, and the quiet moments watching wildlife bring the trip to a close. Twenty-five days across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Namibia. A childhood dream, new friendships, and more memories than Chels and I could have imagined when we packed our bags. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us along the way, and to everyone watching from home. If you’ve followed this series, I’d love to hear which moment stayed with you. Until the next adventure, fly safe. 🌍 Do you want $1,000 OFF on your full-time flight training course?!
