Stop looking at the damn screen, will you? Look up there. Right up there in the sky. You see it? Ahhhhh! It is a comet. It is headed straight for us, and it's the size of the entire global job market. With every passing day, it's learning to do exactly what you got paid for yesterday. It's writing, programming, drawing, diagnosing, designing, selling, problem-solving. It never gets tired, never asks for time off. It never argues with the boss. And you're going, "Relax. It's fear-mongering, that's all." While you keep on scrolling and scrolling a feed built by an algorithm that knows you better than you could possibly know yourself. Every technological revolution of the past was about how you got to work harder, you got to work faster, you got to go, go, go. But this one says, "Thanks. We'll take it from here." The AI business model is very simple. Take all of the skills that you had and resell them as a product. The less that they need people, the higher the valuation. You, the one that's out of a job, you're the product. You got your degree and nobody wants you? Looks like you went and picked the wrong profession. Victim of downsizing? That's some bad luck. Your boss is a total moron. But the real reason is something else entirely. It is something so wide that you'll never be able to wrap your head around it. Nobody, nobody understands what goes on inside of those black boxes of these neural networks. We type in a prompt and out comes a result. Do you know what the term is for that? It's magic. Prompts are the new magic spells. The more precise the words submitted, the more powerful the generative output. You go to work, you pay your mortgage, you insult some folks while you envy others. You grow spiritually, you play the games of senile old men, you suffer panic attacks, and you scroll, scroll, scroll this infinite fucking feed. And all the while, quietly unnoticed, they're taking away your future. Four billion years of evolution made human beings the most intelligent creatures on the planet, and we're proud of that. And then it turns out that humans are just a stepping stone toward a far more powerful, conscious form. And even if everybody woke up and screamed together as one, "Stop!" nothing would change. We're talking trillions of bucks, and money only listens to money. Every click, every prompt, every subscription is yet another brick in the wall, and you'll be standing outside it while you lay every brick yourself with enthusiasm. Hey, just take a look at what I can do. Heh-heh-heh!
