Currently Playing: I Didn’t Expect the Bullet 650 to Feel Like THIS

The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is finally here, bringing one of motorcycling’s most historic names into the modern 650 Twin family. With its timeless styling, hand painted pinstriping and familiar 648cc parallel twin engine, the Bullet certainly has plenty of presence. During my time with it, the bike attracted compliments from motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists alike, but did that classic charm translate into an enjoyable ride? In this review, I take the Bullet 650 for a proper ride and explore its comfort, handling, suspension, weight, clutch, technology and everyday usability. I’ll also show you what it’s like for me to manage at 5'4". Although it’s undoubtedly a lovely looking motorcycle, I found the riding position awkward for my smaller frame, while the firm rear suspension made bumpy roads particularly uncomfortable. That doesn’t make it a bad motorcycle, but it does demonstrate how differently the same bike can feel depending on the rider’s proportions.
