On November 28, everything changed for Segunda Beach. What started as a small brush fire near Segunda Vines quickly turned into a nightmare when the Santa Lucia winds shifted. The fire jumped the Verde Coast Highway and tore through the heart of the city, leaving nothing but ruins from the Boulevard to Diablo Point. Now, we face a massive urban planning challenge: rebuild exactly what was lost, or design a more resilient, modern city? This episode focuses on disaster recovery and master planning. We’re implementing a new street grid, zoning up a storm, optimizing traffic flow, and integrating a passenger rail expansion with Clearwater Southern. We'll also add our first skyscraper into the build. From transit-oriented development to dealing with major transportation planning hurdles, today we're rebuilding the city from the ground up after a major catastrophe.
