About a year and a half ago, I showcased Memoriapolis, a game I called one of the most unique city builders I’d ever played. Its hook was ambitious - you don't just build a city, you guide a civilization through ages of history. While the Early Access showed promise, the 1.0 release introduced some some new features that didn't click with me - specifically a district-locking mechanic. It turns out I wasn't alone.
