Video Transcript

I'm in Panshir Valley, a military zone run by the Taliban in Afghanistan. The subtitles are arranged according to the language you'll be viewing. Enjoy the viewing experience, AFGHANISTAN... This is the Taliban's military psychological center. Imagine if you had a field or a garden in these areas. The gift you received was a tank. If you're wondering why you're on a tank, it's because it's a great place to shoot. I found this place. Afghanistan's Panshir Valley has so much military equipment that you're confused about which one to look at. They've left these historical, rusting arches everywhere. Because this region has seen so much war, they've built such a bridge that it takes courage to cross it. My God, my God. It's such a bridge, they made everything out of tin. Why is this place so important? If you're asking why I went through 15 checkpoints when I came here, it's because it's a valley completely surrounded by mountains. Flowing waters make it a great tourist destination, but of course, tourists can't come here. We had a very difficult time getting to this area. We're having a problem with the grocery stores. They only sell energy drinks here . These things you see are consumed so much here, I can't even describe them. They're all energy drinks. And they're also lining up useless things here. Energy drinks, energy drinks. All of these are produced in Afghanistan. It's an uncle's grocery store. I bought something like this . It looks like pomegranate juice. I remember having it before. It tastes good . Hayla is pleased. Thanks. Hafez. This is truly a very important place for every state that comes to visit. If you watch my previous video , you can see how difficult it is to get from one place to another in this region . From 30 meters to 30 meters, from 20 meters to 20 meters, we show our passport and permit, or what they call our permit. They check us every half hour, every hour . This place is so secure, so important. Even as we go from one place to another, you see this: they ask for our paper. Peace be upon you. So that we can have a look at the view. We went up, my brothers there, they're the Taliban, you know. They called someone for about 15 minutes. He said, "It's impossible to go up there, to go." We said, "How are you, brother?" He said, "We have our papers, our permission papers, okay," and he said, "Go and come back in 5 minutes." I said, "Okay, brother, no problem." You see, they didn't even let us walk. They were dropping us off at our destination . "Pashto Speech Passes ." I'm Turkish, my friend is German . Write in the comments which country you're watching this video from. It's about 150 km from Kabul. This place goes through village roads. There are only two roads here. There are two roads between huge rocks in the mountains . For example, armies from another country can't wage military war here. They can't pursue their own strategies. Because why, brother, is such a geographical location only in Afghanistan? People say America left this region disappointed. Because no matter how much it wanted to capture it, it couldn't capture it. Defending this place is very easy. Just as defending it is very easy, capturing it is also very difficult. This is the kind of place it is. My German friend said, "I'm going to play football with the Taliban." I said, okay, let's see. Look, you saw them playing ball there. You also see scoops and swords like this, many left like this. They do their ablutions and pray there all the time. Let's see if they'll take them in? Our kid is a football player. He's shoulder-high. He's 2.5 meters tall. We decided to watch a match. The guys asked for 50 pieces of paper and 50 people. I swear they'll drive a man crazy. Look, do you see those guys, brother? The guys asked 50 questions, I swear, it's been 10 minutes, nothing. Dad, I want to talk to you. But I don't know Persian , I don't know Pashto, if you know English or Turkish, let's talk, why are you doing this, out of spite, 15 people came to me, look, 13 of what you see there have passports , brother, they're telling each other, they're joking, they ask for passports, brother, we got them, we swear, we have passports, they're making the guy angry, we're going to watch a match, brother, leave them alone, lie once, go lie. Don't ask a question, son. We showed the passports. We showed them to the five of you. We showed you your passport. Shall we show you your passport when you are 13 again? God bless you It's impossible not to get angry for your love No, they make fun of you and say why don't you talk? Brother, I don't know the language, that's all. I'm trying to talk to you, it doesn't work. You, I'm trying to talk to you, why do you get annoyed and ask me for a passport all the time? 10 people checked. Tell the 3 people who came, brother. I checked this man's passport. You say there is no problem with this man. Now your mind is not working. I don't understand. We have everything, our papers, yet you are detaining us. We were walking there, you invited us in for no reason, you made us wait 30 minutes . Today we waited at the Taliban office for 6 hours in total, even though it is not the official state of the country, no state recognizes the Taliban. NOTE: (Russia Recognizes) The state that is currently governing Afghanistan The Taliban did not come to power through an official election. They came to power through an official election, not through war. Of course, people here now want an election. They want democracy. Of course, is this possible in these regions? I honestly don't know. I am more curious about this situation than the Afghans. Who are the Taliban made up of? The Taliban are Pashtuns. Hazaras, Pashtuns, Afghans, and of course, Tajiks. There are also Uzbeks. There are five or six different races. Has there ever been that many races in one country? So, of course, the end is inevitable. Even if other countries withdraw from here because they say, "You were racist towards me," "You were racist towards me," and so on , I don't know when peace will return to these regions. This is where people are brothers and sisters. Truly, even if other countries withdraw, whether Russia or America, they can't get along. The people of the Pensura Valley are Tajiks. The Tajiks are a bit more educated and also a people who love to defend their freedom against any adversity. In the face of any adversity, the Tajiks try to establish their own system here and rebel against any obstacle. In fact, when Russia first arrived, this was the first place to rebel, and Russia never managed to dominate this region. Two days before a dangerous organization attacked the Twin Towers in America, they were assassinated. What is today? September 11th, 2001. Remember this day, nephew. Neither the world nor you will remain the same after today. Come sit down. Refresh your tea. The war between America and the Taliban, that is, the war between Afghanistan, happened for this reason. The war started after a dangerous organization in Afghanistan claimed responsibility for the attack . They hijacked two planes. After hijacking two American planes, they crashed into two large 200-meter towers in America. Approximately 400 to 500 people lost their lives. Could the entire American army tolerate something like this ? America then launched an attack on these lands. Before launching an attack on these lands, America said it had to hand over this man, the leader of this dangerous organization, to Afghanistan. This man is such a dangerous person that I'm going to tell you things about him that you won't believe. He wasn't handed over by Afghanistan . They say this man isn't here. There are these strange organizations whose names change because you're not Muslim, and the leader of this organization is one of these dangerous people. They tell this man, "Look at Afghanistan, brother, hand this man over to us." The great America. In Afghanistan, they say, "This man is not for us." Of course, there are great intelligence agencies and so on. They say, "This man is here." Then America starts coming to Afghanistan. Peace hasn't come to this land for about 20 years. These people have bombed so much everywhere that people are very surprised when I walk with a backpack. Because people like me who carry the bag on their backs only harm them. The aid that comes comes from such an organization. They distribute it to people across such a precipice . I don't know what's in the box, but there's a blanket at the bottom. And on top, there's something like a container for filling with water. Tell me in the comments which country you're watching this video from. There's a knife in it. There are a lot of kitchen utensils: knives, plates, bowls. And so on and so forth. Even though we had permission, I couldn't film much there. Because they kicked me out, I mean , they sent me away. They said, "If you can't film here, go film somewhere else ." I was just wondering who was receiving this aid, who was receiving it? Which races were Pashtuns, Tajiks, or others, Hazaras? But of course, we couldn't find out. The leader of the dangerous organization said he had to hand this man over. When I didn't hand him over, America dropped tons of bombs on these very lands. After that, it looked like nothing was going to happen. Osama bin Laden fled to Pakistan. From Afghanistan to Pakistan. After hiding in hiding for 10 years, imagine that for 10 years, entire states, agents, the FBI, and so on, were searching for you, but couldn't find you. He managed to hide for 10 years. Then, when he was sold out by the guy next to him, the Pakistani city of Karachi was destroyed, and then, in 2021, America withdrew from these lands. We went to eat at our place. There are three villages near us. Only one has a restaurant. And that one only sells rice and, um, kebabs. Kebab meat. They sell meat. Let's see. The villages are like this. Most of them are made of adobe. There are very few shops. This place is very important for the Taliban. They managed to take this place a year after the war. They actually managed to take it a year after I went to America. This place is very important to them. Security is always at a low level. You can even see tank parts on the side of the road as we go. We're walking for about 4 km. After eating at a nice restaurant, I just went out. I tried to call two hellos. The SIM card works. One of my brothers happened to come across me. Thanks to my brother, he's been to Turkey. How many times have you been to Turkey exactly ? Twice. In what year did you go? I went once, 12 years ago. I stayed for three years then. I understand. I was single, meaning I'm not married. What's the situation at the border, brother? How are you going, I mean, illegally? Back then, the borders were good. No problems. Now, it's really hard, now it's really impossible to cross again. When did the security of these borders start? Last year, he went once. Was he a fugitive again? A fugitive. Through Iran. I was caught. After that, they sent me back. Through Iran? Yes, through Iran . What do they do when they're caught? Who caught you, brother? They didn't do anything. The Turkish police caught me. When the Turkish police caught me, they handed me over to the Iranian police. They handed me over to Afghanistan . We were caught at the border . Did they catch a Turk at the Iranian border? Turkish soldiers caught me and handed me over to the Iranian police. They say the Turkish soldiers beat us. Is that true? No, they didn't beat us. I mean, there really is a God. They didn't beat us. We hear about that, but I swear, I haven't seen it. Sometimes Afghans do a lot to me. Some of them got beaten by soldiers. But some exaggerate. God, God. I don't know, brother. Actually, they're right. If they beat me a little, they're right. They're not wrong. Because you're entering someone's country without permission. This isn't a good thing . Of course. Exactly. For example, we paid 100 dollars here. Where do we come from, I mean, as much as we have to . Exactly. If Turkey allows us, we'll go. If they don't, we, I mean, we have to go. If they see us, he's not wrong, brother. Kudos to you. But they really don't behave badly, I mean the Turkish police and military. They behave as well as they can. It just gets boring , I mean, because not once, not twice, not one person, not 100 people. I mean, thousands of people pass through there. They have a problem, too. I really understand. My brother is very happy to see me. He found a Turkish-speaking man in a Panşir valley like this. I talked to some people here, it was Turks. I was the first Turk to come here. I swear, that's what they said. I mean, really few people come as backpackers, hitchhikers. Backpackers. Because I mean, they don't come from Turkey as a journey, I mean, there are very few people who come. Very rarely. Look, they don't come from other countries either. It's not just Turkey. You're right. No, they started coming to other sides slowly, but they aren't coming to Penshir. No information, brother. Because - I really don't recommend you come to Penshir either... What are you saying? What are you saying, brother? Don't say that. Now this is an employee of our restaurant. Hey man, you are not hospitable . Where is our tea, brother? Thank you. You speak Turkish very well. Where did you learn it from me? You speak Turkish well. My accent has really spoiled. I have good memories from Turkey, brother. Thank you. I hope you're really happy. I'd be very happy to see you here, too. I hope we have good memories here, too. If we go, we'll talk to people, too. If they come, we're ready, too.
