When the Lion Guard mistakenly drives the aardwolves out of the Pride Lands, they don't realize the important role the animals play in nature. Without the aardwolves to keep them under control, termites quickly multiply and spread across the land. The growing infestation begins to damage trees, grass, and homes, creating a serious problem for everyone. Kion and the Guard soon realize that their actions have upset the balance of the ecosystem. Determined to fix their mistake, they set out to bring the aardwolves back to their rightful home.
