Automaton's is just the first step in what automation features are coming to Space Engineers, think of it as a foundation and building-block (pun intended) for the next iteration of the game's AI and the systems we as console users (as well as PC) can bring to the game. No need for complex scripting to do things that required it before. This video is all about the AI Flight and Record Task blocks, how to set them up properly on a ship, and how to record a series of custom waypoints to bring a ship safely to land automatically on a flat surface.
